What is Chiropractic Care?

The definition of Chiropractic is: “A system of complementary medicine based on the diagnosis and manipulative treatment of misalignments of the joints, especially those of the spinal column, which are held to cause other disorders by affecting the nerves, muscles, and organs.”

>> Why Should I Seek Out Chiropractic Care?

Our nervous system controls every structure of our body! Improper function of the spine can lead to pain, poor health, decreased range of motion, stress, and chronic disease processes. Chiropractic is a natural form of health care which embraces the bodies’ innate ability to heal itself. Chiropractic does not utilize surgery or drugs, but seeks to balance the body in a gentle and safe way.

How are you different from other Chiropractors?

The foundation of my training is in Applied Kinesiology, which taught me to look at each patient from a holistic point of view, addressing not only their physical health, but also their internal and mental/emotional health. By doing so I have a very unique approach in considering multiple facets to each patient’s picture of health.

>> What types of patients do you treat?

Chiropractic & holistic medicine is for everyone! Just like how everyone has a dentist for their teeth, everyone should have a great chiropractor to keep their body functioning at it’s best. I work with a vast array of patients ranging from athletes with physical complaints, to kids, to patients with chronic internal conditions. I have seen patients as young as 7 days old (I LOVE babies!) and well into their 80’s.

Do you utilize nutrition and supplements?

Yes! While I believe we should be able to get most of what we need from a balanced diet, I do extensive work with supplements. It is hard to get the total nutrient profile we need or require in our fast-paced world and can be difficult to find the highest quality products. I work with a vast-array of supplements and have worked with patients for conditions such as: chronic fatigue, arthritis, autoimmune challenges, food sensitivities, chronic infections, adrenal fatigue, hypothyroidism, irritable bowel, leaky gut, and more!

>> I have heard you do “emotional work.” What does that mean?

Emotions are normal AND healthy! We should experience them! However, many (ALL) of us have stress in our lives. I utilize both Neuro Emotional Technique and The Lifeline Technique with my patients to help where subconscious patterns may be interfering with their health and well-being. Many times stress plays an absolute role in health challenges we may be experiencing.

Do you perform blood work analysis?

I do not perform blood work analysis in my office. I refer out for those services and then can monitor the results as needed.

>> Do you accept insurance?

I am out of network Chiropractic. I am a cash based business, however we do take into account your insurance information and provide you with a statement that you are able to send into your insurance company for potential reimbursement.

Do you consult with patients outside of the Chicago-land area?

Yes! I work with several patients via phone.
